Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)

Tammy Nguyen is a senior information security analyst on Cisco's Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). CSIRT is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and mitigating all computer security incidents on Cisco's corporate network, hosted solutions, and new ventures. Tammy handles escalations and incidents from a myriad of data sources and works closely with specialized investigators to drive incident containment and remediation. Her responsibilities include event analysis, security investigations, and designing and implementing monitoring strategies for critical engagements.

When Tammy is not helping CSIRT protect Cisco, Tammy is passionate about advocating for women in technology and spends her time mentoring young security professionals inside and outside of Cisco. She is an active member of the Cisco Women in Cybersecurity community where she has spoken about her early career journey. Tammy believes that there is a place for everyone especially women in cybersecurity regardless of formal educational training or not.
